2020 Graduate is an Environmental Justice Fellow at the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC)

Current geography students and recent graduates continue to make a difference in the world, positively impacting society and working to keep our environment clean. After graduating from UNT, Cintia Ortiz, BS Geography and the Environment 2020, accepted an Environmental Justice Fellowship with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) in Washington, D.C. As part of the fellowship, Cintia will assist with the management of the LULAC's environmental justice portfolio, including mobilizing the Latino community to enforce and drive protections for clean air, water, health, and climate. She also will help elevate the Latino voice in the climate change space by creating opportunities for LULAC members to engage with policy leaders about climate change issues.
