ENV 377
"I chose Geography because I am deeply interested in the connections between people, places, and the environment, and I want to apply that knowledge to address real-world challenges in conservation, land management, and sustainability. My academic interests include forest ecology, conservation, GIS applications, watershed management, and sustainable land use, with a focus on how forests and watersheds interact with climate and human activities. I was drawn to UNT for its strong Geography program, supportive faculty, and opportunities that align with my goals in environmental conservation and resource management. Having completed my bachelor’s degree in industrial chemistry before transitioning into Geography, I bring both scientific and applied field experience to my work, and I look forward to gaining hands-on experience through fieldwork and research while connecting with faculty and peers who share my passion for sustainability."
