The Department of Geography at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for an assistant or associate professor of geography specializing in urban and built environments, to begin fall semester, 2012. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for developing a productive research program, including publishing in refereed journals and acquiring external funding, as well as effective teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. An earned doctorate in geography or a related field at the time of appointment is required. Consideration for appointment as an associate professor will be given to those applicants who have a proven track record in academia, including teaching experience and externally funded research grant(s).
