Subject: [EXT] GIS Intern positions available - Arlington

Today we posted two intern positions with the City of Arlington.  These fall under our Seasonal, Part-time pool of employees and may not follow traditional semester schedules.

Please ask interested students to apply according to our needs below.  All the regional GIS programs should cover what an Intern I would be asked to do - data editing, manipulating, and analysis; map making for ArcGIS Server/Portal/AGO map services, etc.  The Intern II position will be asked to help with JavaScript development - specifically Web AppBuilder and similar technologies.  This Intern II position may even work with documenting and working with GeoEvent Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online, etc.

Keep in mind that the work we will be doing is for other City of Arlington departments - we provide GIS services - we do not actually do the GIS work for them.  We believe these positions will help develop GIS skills that will greatly improve the incumbents marketability in the GIS field.

Thank you for your assistance in spreading the word.  😊
