Dr. Steve Wolverton collaring white tailed deerGeography, the science of space and place, weaves together information from the physical and social sciences to understand the humn condition and its relation to the environment. Our department focuses on the following aspects of geography:

  1. Earth science and modeling
  2. Human systems and the environment
  3. Environmental archaeology
  4. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing

Marketable skills for this degree include interpersonal, cognitive, and applied skill areas, that are valued by employers, and are primary or complementary to the major. The marketable skills goal was designed to help students articulate their skills to employers.
