|This course serves as an introduction to the basic theories, methods, and techniques used in archaeology. We examine what archaeology is, and how and why archaeologists do archaeology.|
|At the end of the course, students will
• be able to evaluate media presentations of archaeological research, and
• develop an appreciation for the importance of cultural resource preservation.
This course is a requirement for the Anthropology major
and a minor in Archaeology.
