SWAAG 2018 student awards

At the recent SWAAG meeting in Baton Rouge, two of our students won awards for their (and our!) research. Brett Luce won first place in the undergraduate student paper competition and Claire Pitre won second place in the undergraduate student poster competition. We also had 2 graduate students (Katherina Kang and Bradley Rains) display posters and one graduate student (Katie Krupula) presented a paper. As well, a group of students - the 5 mentioned here and Melissa Barnett - took third place in the Geography Bowl Competition. This year, we didn't have as many students as usual participate, but the ones who did did a great job of representing our department!

Congrats!
